"Idol" Week To Feature Doyle Brunson, Tom "durrrr" Dwan

"Idol" week starts this Monday on "Poker After Dark" and will feature names such as Doyle Brunson, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Annette "Annette_15" Obrestad.

"Idol" week will pit five of poker's "young guns" against one of the most influential and respected names in the game, Doyle Brunson. Brunson will be looking for his second "freezeout" win on "Poker After Dark".

This week's match will feature a buy-in of $50,000 (the buy-in is normally $20,000), with the eventual winner taking home $300,000.

"As with the $100,000 buy-in “Big Heat” freezeout, this match is filled with great poker highlighted by intense drama and sometimes long and painful decisions. The match starts off on a friendly note, with lots of table talk and quite a few laughs, but after a couple of players get knocked there is no question that those remaining have a strong desire to win. Look for Doyle Brunson’s namesake hand to come into play a couple of times, each time with ensuing hilarity, and for an entertaining and focused heads-up battle for the title."

As mentioned, Doyle Brunson will be looking for his second win on "Poker After Dark", as the poker legend currently sports a record of 1-8 in previous appearances on the show.

Tom Dwan and Annette Obrestad, who have both previously made appearances on "Poker After Dark", will be looking for their first wins on the show. Andrew Lichtenberger, Melanie Weisner and Eric Baldwin are all making their first appearances on "Poker After Dark".

"Idol" week will begin airing at 2:05 am on Monday, April 4th on NBC.
