Vannesa Selbst is in a good moodRoughly one year ago, Vanessa Selbst successfully navigated her way through a field of 716 players to take down the 2010 NAPT Mohegan Sun title.

12 months later, and Selbst is in excellent shape to take down the very same event once again.

Day 4 of the 2011 NAPT Mohegan Sun main event wrapped up just a few minutes ago. 387 players signed up to play in this year's NAPT Mohegan Sun main event, and that number has now been whittled down to eight.

The eight players who will be participating in Wednesday's final table are:

Tyler Kenney - 3,021,000
Vanessa Selbst - 2,249,000
Vincent Rubianes - 1,711,000
Dan Shak - 1,571,000
Joe Tehan - 1,238,000
Steve O'Dwyer - 1,032,000
Thomas Hoglund, Jr. - 541,000
Aaron Overton - 373,000

All eight players are guaranteed a minimum of $32,330 for making it through to the final table, with the eventual winner of the event walking away with $450,000.

Joe Tehan will also be looking for his second NAPT title, as he took down the NAPT Los Angeles event roughly six months ago for $725,000.

Over the past year, Erik Seidel and Vanessa Selbst have been the two hottest players on the tournament circuit.

After taking down last year's NAPT Mohegan Sun for $750,000, Selbst followed this up with a win at the Partouche Poker Tour main event ($1,648,470), a 4th place finish at the EPT London High Roller ($226,910) and an 8th place finish in the NBC National Heads-up Poker Championship ($75,000).

With a win on Wednesday, Selbst would vault past Annette Obrestad to take over 3rd spot on the women's all time money list.

The final table of the NAPT Mohegan Sun gets underway at 12 pm (local time) on Wednesday.
