"ElkY" Takes Down $10k Seven Card Stud World Championship

Bertrand ElkY Grospellier at the poker table wearing headphones"Team Pokerstars Pro" member Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier took down his very first World Series of Poker bracelet yesterday in the $10,000 Seven Card Stud World Championship.

According to Grospellier, this was his first ever "live" Seven Card Stud tournament. He certainly made it count, as "ElkY" received $331,639 and the much-coveted World Series of Poker bracelet for his victory.

Steve Landfish ended up finishing in second place for $204,924, while Maxwell Troy walked away with $128,341 after finishing in third.

With his win in the $10k Seven Card Stud World Championship, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier now has the "Triple Crown" of live tournament poker - a World Series of Poker bracelet, a World Poker Tour title and an EPT title.

In addition, "ElkY" also has WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) and SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) bracelets.

"ElkY" now has nearly $8 million ($7,975,642 to be exact) in total lifetime tournament cashes, with over $1.6 million of that coming this year. Earlier in the year, "ElkY" managed to take down two High Roller events at the EPT Grand Final in Madrid for a combined total of over $1 million.

"Elky" currently sits in the #27 spot on the all-time money list, just behind Mike "The Mouth" Matusow and Paul Wasicka.
