Phil Hellmuth Jr., multiple World Series of Poker bracelet holder, finished day 2 of the World Poker Tour Championship as the tournament chipleader, and currently has over 528,000 in chips. Hellmuth had a very strong day, rarely losing a pot and taking advantage of his tight image.

The leaderboard is a who's who is live poker pros and online poker phenoms. Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi, fresh off of a 3rd place finish in the Irish Poker Open, is currently sitting at 499,300 in chips, just off of the chip lead. Patrik Antonius sits just behind him with 470,000 in chips.

Other notable names that had strong days were: Paul Wasicka, who currently sits with 440,000 in chips; Anna Wroblewski, who has 350,000 in chips; Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf, who has 250,000 in chips, and Freddy Deeb, who currently has 240,000 in chips.

Justin "Zeejustin" Bonomo, Phil Ivey and Ram Vaswani are all still alive in the event, which has a first place prize of nearly $4 million dollars.

There are currently 218 players remaining in the field, with the top 100 players getting paid.
