Phil Hellmuth was the chipleader after Day 2 of the WPT Championship, and he remains chipleader after Day 3, offering up another strong performance which rarely saw him relinquish the chip lead. Hellmuth carefully managed pots and made good reads en route to the Day 3 chiplead.

Hellmuth is closely followed by Raymond Davis, who has 1.7 million in chips, and Loi Phan, who currently has 1.41 million in chips. Hellmuth currently has 1.82 million chips himself with 54 people left in the event. Day 4 gets underway on Wednesday, where the field will play down to 27.

Other notable names include Sorel "Imper1um" Mizzi, who is currently in 15th place with 703,000 chips, Justin "Zeejustin" Bonomo, who is in 20th place with 625k in chips, and Scott Fischman, who came back from 8k chips to finish day 3 with 617,000.

Other notable names still alive include Jared "Wacokidd" Hamby with 494,000 in chips and Daniel Alaei who has 278,000. Patrik Antonius lost a big hand right near the end of the day and is currently the short stack with 38,000 in chips.
