Georges St. Pierre Signs Deal With 888

Current UFC Welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre (aka "GSP") has reportedly inked a one year contract with 888.

As part of the deal, St. Pierre will become a "global brand ambassador" for the company. 888 also revealed that St. Pierre will be playing in the 2012 World Series of Poker main event as a member of the 888 team.

GSP is currently out of action as he rehabilitates a knee injury that he suffered while training for a fight against Nick Diaz.

2. More Full Tilt Poker Job Openings.

Earlier this week, Pocket Kings Ltd. (marketing and customer service arm of Full Tilt Poker) posted a number of new job openings on Jobs.ie.

A few days later, more job openings appeared on Pokerjobsearch.com, including:

-Production Operations Manager
-Payment Processing Analyst
-Internal Tools Developer
-QA Engineer

3. Draftday.

Draftday.com, the fantasy-sports site that was co-founded by Taylor Caby and Andrew Wiggins, recently secured an investment of $875,000.

The investment came from Lightbank, which is an "investment fund backed by co-founders of Groupon Inc.".

Here is what Lightbank had to say about investing in Draftday:

"We are very pleased to invest in DraftDay and foresee substantial long-term growth for the company's unique daily fantasy model. Draftday's management brings to the table prior experience in founding and growing companies as well as a deep understanding of fantasy sports."

Caby and Wiggins also co-founded Cardrunners.com back in 2005.
