Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier Wins His Fourth High Roller Event

The King is delivering the poker weekend update to its readers1. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier Wins Fourth High Roller Event.

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier won the fourth "High Roller" event of his career this weekend after taking down the EPT Berlin High Roller event for 231k EUR.

Grospellier took down the event after outlasting Chris Moorman during heads-up play - "ElkY" later called Moorman his "toughest heads-up opponent ever".

With this most recent win, Grospellier now has over $9 million in total lifetime cashes.

As mentioned, "ElkY" has now won four "High Roller" events. They are:

EPT Berlin, 2012, 231,000 EUR
EPT Grand Final, 2011, 525,000 EUR
EPT Grand Final (Turbo), 2011, 153,000 EUR
PCA, 2009, $433,500

2. High Rollers Converge on EPT Grand Final.

For the first time ever, the European Poker Tour will be hosting a 100k EUR buy-in ("Super High Roller") event at this year's EPT Grand Final.

The event, which will be kicking off at 14:00 local time on Monday afternoon in Monte Carlo, will feature a host of well-known names, including:

4. Davidi Kitai Wins Triple Crown.

Davidi Kitai won the EPT Berlin main event this weekend, taking home over 700k EUR in the process.

With his victory, Kitai joins a very small club as one of the few players to win poker's "Triple Crown" (EPT event, WSOP event, WPT event). Kitai secured his WPT win at the 2011 Celebrity Invitational ($100,000) and his WSOP win in a 2008 Pot Limit Hold'em event ($244,583).
