Fifth time's the charm?
Phil Ivey made yet another final table last night, this time in the $2,500 Mixed Hold'em event (Event #35).
This is the fifth final table that Ivey has made so far at this year's World Series of Poker.
Unfortunately for Ivey and his fans, Phil hasn't been able to close the deal on his ninth bracelet as of yet. Here is how Ivey has fared at the four other final tables that he has made so far this year:
$10,000 HORSE, 5th, $99,739
$5,000 Omaha Hi/Lo, 3rd, $136,046
$10,000 Pot Limit Hold'em, 2nd, $275,559
$5,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, 7th, $34,595
Ivey is going to have to put in some work to win his ninth WSOP bracelet on Wednesday, as he is starting the final table of the $2,500 Mixed Hold'em event with one of the smaller stacks.
Here are the chip counts heading into the final day of play:
Joep van den Bijgaart, 605,000
Samuel Golbuff, 526,000
Michael Gathy, 418,000
Erik Cajelais, 368,000

Phil Ivey, 169,000
