Ultimate Poker Launches in Nevada

Ultimate Poker (www.ultimatepoker.com) officially became the first site to offer real money online gaming to people in the state of Nevada earlier today. The site, which officially started dealing real money hands of online poker at around 9 am local time, is currently operating under a "field trial" authorized under NRS 463.750 and Assembly Bill 114. Ultimate Poker has some heavy marketing muscle behind it, as they are the "exclusive online gaming partner of the UFC and Station Casinos". Ultimate Gaming, which operates the Ultimatepoker.com site, is a subsidiary of Station Casinos LLC. Frank Fertitta III and Lorenzo Fertitta reportedly own 45% of the shares in Station Casinos LLC. If you are a fan of mixed martial arts, those names will be familiar to you, as the Fertitta brothers own a majority stake in Zuffa, LLC, which is the parent company of the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).
Dana White, president of the UFC, commented about the launch of Ultimate Poker on his Twitter feed earlier today:
"Congrats to @ultimatepoker on being first legal online poker game."
Antonio Esfandiari is the main brand ambassador for Ultimate Poker, as he inked a large sponsorship deal with the site a few months ago. Terrence Chan is also being sponsored by the site as well.

There have been some issues reported today by users when it comes to the site's geolocation capabilities as well as the verification of new users.
It's important to note that you must be physically located within the state of Nevada in order to play on UltimatePoker.com, but you don't have to actually be a resident of the state. So, for instance, a resident of Florida who is attending the World Series of Poker this summer will be able to play on the site while they are staying in Las Vegas.
Depositing to the site can be done via Electronic check ACH, bank wire, check by mail or at one of the cages at any of Station Casino's 16 locations.
