Lodden Leads Heading Into Day 3

Pokerstars European Poker Tour - Grand Final - Monte CarloDay 2 of the EPT Grand Final main event is now in the books, with Johnny Lodden finishing the day as the tournament chip leader.

"Team Pokerstars" had a very strong showing on Wednesday, as three members of "Team Pokerstars" managed to finish Day 2 with top 10 chip stacks. They were:

Johnny Lodden - 605,200 (chip lead)
Daniel Negreanu - 340,100
Jason Mercier - 321,900

Calvin Anderson (472,600), Noah Schwartz (453,400), Oleksii Kovalchuk (414,200) and Steve O'Dwyer (389,200) will also have top five chip stacks heading into Day 3 on Thursday.

531 players turned out for this year's EPT Grand Final main event, down from last year's total of 665 players.

The top 80 spots in this year's event will pay out, with the eventual winner walking away with over 1.2 million EUR.

126 players will return for Day 3 on Thursday.
