The World Series of Poker released the list of the ten finalists for induction in the 2014 Poker Hall of Fame induction class earlier today.
The most recognizable name on the list is Daniel Negreanu, who has six World Series of Poker bracelets and nearly $30 million in tournament cashes to his name. Negreanu is coming off of a second place finish in the $1,000,000 BIG ONE For ONE DROP earlier this year in which he collected $8,288,001, the largest single cash of his career.
Here is the full list of finalists for the 2014 induction class:
Chris Bjorin, Humberto Brenes, Jennifer Harman, Mike Matusow and Huck Seed were all finalists last year as well, with Bjorn and Harman now having been nominated for the third year straight. Daniel Negreanu, Bruno Fitoussi, Bob Hooks, Ted Forrest and Jack McClelland are all receiving their first ever nominations.
There was a public nomination process on WSOP.com, along with a vetting process by the Poker Hall of Fame Governing Council, to help build the list of the ten finalists.
The voting will now be turned over to a 41 person list of living Hall of Fame members and "blue ribbon media members".
The criteria that will be used in the vote:

-Be a minimum of 40 years old at time of nomination
-Played for high stakes
-Played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
-Stood the test of time
-Or, for non-players, contributed to the overall growth and success of the game of poker, with indelible positive and lasting results.
Voters will have until October 10th to fill out their ballots and return them to the WSOP Governing Council. The 2014 Class of the Poker Hall of Fame will be inducted as part of the "November Nine" festivities on Sunday, November 9th, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino.
