Daniel Negreanu, arguably the biggest name in the poker world, was elevated to an even higher level earlier this week when the documentary chronicling his life, "Kid Poker", was aired on TSN4 in Canada.
Daniel "KidPoker" Negreanu, who is 1st on the all-time tournament money list with total earnings of over $30 million, has been playing at the highest levels for many years. While other poker players have surged and then faded away, Negreanu has exhibited tremendous staying power and is still considered one of the very best players in the world. Negreanu has managed to parlay his popularity into a lucrative sponsorship deal with Pokerstars, which is the largest online poker site in the world.
The documentary, "Kid Poker", which was produced by Francine Watson and Pokerstars, tells the story of Negreanu's ascension from grinder to poker superstar.
The movie, which premiered in November in Toronto, details Negreanu's close bond with his friends and family and how those relationships are crucial to Negreanu's continued stay atop the poker world. In addition, the movie also covers Negreanu's outspoken nature and how he is never afraid to offer his opinion.
Reviews for the documentary have been almost universally positive so far.
