Seidel Cashes in Triton Super High Roller Series for Over $100,000Published on November 4th, 2016 4:14 pm EST
The Triton Super High Roller Series is currently taking place at the Solaire Resort + Casino in the Philippines.
Given the money that is on the line, there can be no surprise that Erik Seidel is in attendance. If there is a super high buy-in tournament taking place, chances are that Seidel will be present.
Earlier this week, Seidel cashed for 4th place in the HK$ 196,000 + 4,000 No Limit Hold'em Suncity Cup. The tournament, which attracted many top players, was eventually won by Daniel Cates.
By finishing in fourth place in the event, Seidel walked away with a payday of approximately $100,000.
The cash was especially notable as it pushed Seidel past the $30 million mark in total lifetime earnings. As of the time that this article was written, Seidel had $30,070,264 in total lifetime live tournament cashes.
Seidel currently sits in 2nd place on the all-time money list, approximately $2.5 million behind Daniel Negreanu.
Erik Seidel, who is currently 56 years of age, has won a total of eight World Series of Poker bracelets. In addition, Seidel has made the WSOP main event final table twice in his career, including a second place finish in the 1988 World Series of Poker that featured a hand that was immortalized in the movie "Rounders".
Over the past number of years, Seidel has been a regular on the Super High Roller tour. Seidel has done extremely well for himself in these events, with all four of his seven figure cashes coming in "Super High Roller" tournaments.
Erik Seidel has remained remarkably consistent over the years and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
