This year's WSOP will take place at Binion's Horseshoe Hotel + Casino, starting on April 22nd, 2004, and finishing up May 28th. With the rapidly increasing interest in poker due to the World Series of Poker being televised on ESPN and the World Poker Tour being televised on the Travel Channel, the first prize is expected to be over 2 million dollars.

The event will once again be shown on ESPN. Saturday, May 23rd 2004 is the first day of the No Limit Finals, with a buyin of $10,000. The event will end a week later, Friday the 28th. There are numerous other tournaments throughout April and May, including a number of Sattelite tournaments to qualify for the big event.

Expect all of the big names in the poker world to be there, including Phil Ivey, Phil Hellmuth, Johnny Chan and Men Nguyen.

Start practising now, the final event is only four months away.
