You may have heard of Barry Greenstein for the first time this year, as we recently won the 2004 World Poker Open (World Poker Tour event). Barry has a fascinating story that will make you appreciate him even more.

Barry received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, and also received a PhD in math from the same school. After retiring at 36, Barry decided to fully devote himself to playing cards, and his dedication has obviously paid off with his high finishes.

The amazing part of Barry's story is that he is extremely generous; he donates every penny of his tournament winnings to charity, with most of the money going to Children, Inc., which provides clothing and food for children.

Not only is Barry an extremely talented poker player, but he is also extremely intelligent and generous. Definitely someone to cheer for.
