It is almost guaranteed at this point that someone you have never heard of will win the World Series of Poker once again, following in the footsteps of past champions, Varkonyi and Moneymaker.

Speaking of which, neither of these players will be at the final table this year. Moneymaker was eliminated on the first day of competition, and Varkonyi was eliminated on Monday.

Phil Ivey

Phil Hellmuth Jr.

Paul Phillips

Howard Lederer

Annie Duke

The two best known names that are still in the tournament at this point are probably Chris "Jesus" Ferguson, winner of the 2000 World Series of Poker, and Doyle Brunson. Looks like the unknowns have it again at this year's tournament.
