ESPN Will Begin Their Coverage of 2009 World Series of Poker Next Week

Tired of watching reruns from last year's World Series of Poker?

Tired of watching Peter Eastgate and Ivan Demidov duking it out at the 2008 World Series of Poker final table?

If so, then take heart, as ESPN will be rolling out their first installment of their coverage of the 2009 World Series of Poker early next week.

On July 28th, ESPN will be kicking off their coverage of the 2009 World Series of Poker by showing the $40k NLHE "40th Anniversary" tournament. This episode will run from 8pm to 10pm EST.

On August 4th, ESPN will switch things up by airing coverage of the WSOP Champions Cup Invitational event. On August 11th, ESPN will show another non-bracelet event, this time the "Ante Up For Africa Charity" tournament.

On August 18th, ESPN will begin showing main event content.

From August 18th until September 22nd, the network will air two hour episodes of brand-new main event coverage every week.

On September 29th, the network will have a special three-hour installment of "Poker Night on ESPN" - this show, according to ESPN.com, will feature episodes 19-21 of their main event coverage. This episode will run from 8 pm to 11 pm EST.

The week after (October 6th), there will be a shortened one-hour episode that will run from 10-11 pm EST.

From October 13th to November 3th, the shows will run for two hours once again - however, they will air at a slightly later time (from 9-11 pm). Episodes 23-30 of the main event will air during this time.

On November 10th, coverage of the 2009 World Series of Poker will come to an end when the WSOP main event final table episode airs (9 pm to 11:30 pm EST).
