New Co-Host of "High Stakes Poker" Hasn't Been Named Yet

Many people (including myself) were expecting that GSN would announce the identity of the new co-host of "High Stakes Poker" late last week.

This didn't happen.

I emailed GSN, and this is what they said:

"We don't have a deal with a new co-host yet, although we hope to be able to announce one in the next couple of weeks."

So there you go..

I'm not sure what the deal is here - Daniel Negreanu said on his site last week that he knew the identity of the new host. Maybe contract negotiations are ongoing? Maybe contract negotiations fell apart? Another reason? Who knows.. I'm just telling you what I know.

As you probably already know, A.J. Benza was not brought back for Season 6 of "High Stakes Poker", and revealed on his blog that a female would be taking his place.

Speculation has swirled as to who the co-host could be, with many people betting on either Shana Hiatt or Kara Scott.

Anyways, looks like we might have to wait a bit longer to find out the identity of the new co-host of "High Stakes Poker".
