Faraz Jaka Surges To Lead In WPT World Championship

World Poker Tour - Logo on white backround - WPTDay 4 of the WPT World Championship has now drawn to a close, with 18 of the original 195 players still alive in the event.

Faraz Jaka will enter Day 5 as the tournament chip leader, as he managed to finish Day 4 with a stack of around 3.12 million in chips. Jaka, also known as "The-Toilet 0" on Full Tilt Poker and Pokerstars, has been on an absolute tear as of late and will be looking to continue his hot streak in the final two days of the WPT World Championship.

David Benyamine made a move on Wednesday as well, finishing the day with a 2.35 million chip stack.

David Williams (2.07 million), Billy Baxter (1.63 million) and Nikolay Evdakov (1.43 million) round out the list of the top 5 stacks heading into Day 5 on Thursday.

Phil Hellmuth is still alive in this event and will be taking the sixth largest stack (1.377 million) with him into Day 5. Phil Hellmuth desperately wants to win his first World Poker Tour title, and you have to figure that he will be especially motivated on Thursday.

Scotty Nguyen (941k), Eric Baldwin (880k) Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy (458k) and Josh Arieh (303k) are also still alive in the event.

All of the 18 players who are still alive in the event will receive a minimum of $47,033 for making it this far. The eventual winner will take home $1,530,537, while the runner-up will receive $1,034,715.

Day 5 will get under way at 12 noon (local time) on Thursday, where the remaining 18 players will play their way down to the final table.
