High Stakes Poker logoPokernewsdaily.com (link below) broke the news earlier this week that the seventh season of "High Stakes Poker" is reportedly set to tape from November 18-20.

According to the site, this is the only information about the seventh season of "High Stakes Poker" that has been divulged from GSN so far. The expected line-up of players has not been announced as of yet, but you can safely assume that fans of the show will receive a heavy dosage of names such as Phil Ivey, Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Daniel Negreanu.

Season six of the show was taped at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas - no word yet as to whether or not the newest season of the show will be taped there as well.

A few weeks ago, a questionnaire from GSN appeared online, asking fans to comment on what they liked and didn't like about "High Stakes Poker". It will be interesting to see if any changes are made to the show's format this year, or if things will largely remain the same.

No word either as to whether or not Gabe Kaplan and Kara Scott will be back again for Season 7, but I think that it's safe to assume that they will be.

The Season Six player list was revealed about a week before the show started taping in mid-November last year, which means that we should know the players that will be invited to take part in Season 7 over the next couple of weeks.

Barring some unforeseen circumstances, you can expect that players such as Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Patrik Antonius, Phil Hellmuth and Doyle Brunson will be featured prominently this year.

It wasn't that long ago when the future of "High Stakes Poker" was seriously in doubt - now, the show is poised to return for a seventh season, much to the joy of poker fans across the world.
