Theo Jorgensen Inks Deal with Pokerstars

Pokerstars announced earlier today that they have inked Danish poker pro Theo Jorgensen to a sponsorship deal that will see Jorgensen become the newest member of "Team Pokerstars Pro".

Jorgensen, who has nearly $3 million in total lifetime tournament cashes, has enjoyed the best year of his career in 2010. Jorgensen took down the WPT Grand Prix de Paris in May, collecting nearly $850,000 USD in the process. Theo followed this up with a deep run in the World Series of Poker main event (30th place, $255,242).

Theo Jorgensen also has a World Series of Poker Europe bracelet (2008 5k Pot Limit Omaha) and two final appearances in EPT main events to his credit.

Given Jorgensen's banner year, it's not a surprise that Pokerstars decided to lock him up to a deal.

Jorgensen will join the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Vanessa Selbst, Barry Greenstein and Vanessa Rousso as members of "Team Pokerstars Pro" with this deal.

Pokerstars has managed to piece together an extremely impressive roster of sponsored talent over the past couple of years. It will be interesting to see who they sign next..
