Kim Frederiksen Leads NAPT Los Angeles Heading Into Day 2

North American Poker Tour - NAPT - LogoKim Frederiksen is currently the official chipleader of the inaugural Pokerstars.net NAPT Los Angeles main event heading into Day 2 on Sunday.

When Day 1B of the tournament wrapped up a few hours ago, Frederiksen was declared the chip leader of the entire event heading into Day 2 on Sunday. Frederiksen finished Day 1B with 237,000 chips, putting him slightly ahead of Day 1A chip leader, Nicholas Grippo (235,100 chips).

701 players turned out for the inaugural NAPT Los Angeles, creating a total prize pool of $3,229,857.

The top 104 spots will pay, with the eventual winner of the event taking home $725,000. The runner-up will walk away with $440,000, and all eight of the final table participants will be guaranteed a minimum of $60,000.

There are currently 314 of the 701 original entrants still alive in the tournament after the first two days of play (Day 1A, Day 1B).

As you can imagine, a number of poker's biggest names turned out for this event.

Day 2 will get underway at 1 pm PST on Sunday afternoon.
