WSOP Poker Hall of Fame - Logo - 400 pixels wideEarlier this week, WSOP.com revealed that John Juanda and Jennifer Harman will be the two newest inductees into the Poker Hall of Fame. Juanda and Harman, who will be the 49th and 50th individuals to be granted entrance into the Poker Hall of Fame, will be formally inducted at Binion's Gambling Hall on Friday, November 6th, as part of the "November Nine" festivities.

Juanda and Harman were two of the names that were selected by the public for possible inclusion into the Poker Hall of Fame. A final list of names, which also included Chris Bjorin, David Chiu, Bruno Fitoussi, Carlos Mortensen, Max Pescatori, Terry Rogers, Matt Savage and David Ulliott, was given to a 39-person panel made up of existing members of the Poker Hall of Fame and selected members of the media. This panel cast their votes, choosing to grant Poker Hall of Fame membership to both John Juanda and Jennifer Harman.

In order for a player to be granted access to the Poker Hall of Fame, they must satisfy the following criteria:

-minimum of 40 years of age
-must have played against acknowledged top competition
-must have played for high stakes
-must have played consistently well, gaining the respect of peers
-must have stood the test of time

Both Harman and Juanda have certainly satisfied these criteria, as Harman has remained a fixture in the biggest cash games in Las Vegas, while John Juanda continues to enjoy tremendous success on the tournament circuit. Juanda recently took down the EPT Barcelona main event for over $1.1 million, pushing his all-time tournament earnings to well over $17 million.

With their inclusion into the Poker Hall of Fame, Harman and Juanda will join the likes of Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu and Johnny Chan as fellow members.
