The famous poker pro of yesterday, joins a new poker site.On Friday afternoon, ACR Poker (formerly known as America's Cardroom) made it official - Tom Dwan is now a "Team Pro" for their site.

ACR Poker revealed that Dwan will be playing on the site under his handle "durrr".

There is no indication as to the length of the contract between Dwan and ACR Poker.

Dwan said that he was "really excited to be joining the ACR team", while ACR Poker said that Dwan's "bold, daring approach to poker is a great fit with ACR Poker's mentality."

Dwan was formerly a sponsored player for Full Tilt Poker - both for "Full Tilt Poker 1.0" (pre-Black Friday) and "Full Tilt Poker 2.0" (post-Black Friday, owned by Pokerstars).

After focusing mainly on cash games in Macau for a number of years, Dwan has started to turn up more on television in recent years. This has led to an increase in his visibility, which likely led to the deal with ACR Poker.

Dwan, of course, comes with a great deal of baggage. In fact, on the same day that Dwan signed his sponsorship deal with ACR Poker, a couple of prominent names in the poker community - Peter Jetten and Haralabos Voulgaris - posted on their Twitter accounts that Dwan owes them money.

In addition, Daniel Cates, also known as "Jungleman", has said that their "durrrr Challenge" situation is still unresolved to this day.

The signing definitely got the attention of many in the poker community. A debate is raging as to whether the signing was a smart business move for ACR Poker, or a poor one.
