Definition of Triton Poker Series
What is the "Triton Poker Series"? What is the definition of the term "Triton Poker Series"?
The Triton Poker Series was officially founded in 2015 by Malaysian businessman and poker player Richard Yong.
The first ever event of the Triton Poker Series took place at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Paranaque City, Manila, Philippines. The tournament, which featured a buy-in of $200,000, was won by Fedor Holz.

The tournament series is known for its high buy-ins, opulent surroundings and high profile players.
The tournaments are held in places such as the Landing Casino in Jeju or Macau, and cater to the high stakes poker player that already has everything that they could possibly want. The buy-ins are very big and there is a big focus on short-deck Hold'em, which has grown exceptionally popular over the past couple of years.
Many of the participants in the Triton Poker Series are regulars in the high stakes cash games in places such as Macau. Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Phil Ivey are also regulars in these games, so they will often show up for Triton Poker Series events, as they are also both friends of Richard Yong.
Some of the big winners of Triton Poker Series events include Holz, John Juanda, Mikita Badziakouski, Jason Koon and Kenneth Kee.
The Triton Poker Series has held events in the Philippines, Montenegro, Russia, Macau and South Korea so far.
