US-Based Players Are Starting to Receive Their Cashouts from Pokerstars

Pokerstars LogoEarlier this week, a representative from Pokerstars appeared on TwoPlusTwo's "PokerCast" to announce that the site would begin processing cashouts for US-based players "very, very soon".

Pokerstars held true to their word, and by the end of the day on Tuesday, the world's largest online poker site was processing cashout requests for the millions of their American customers who had seen their balances frozen after "Black Friday".

There was still some trepidation when players started cashing out their balances - how smoothly would things go when practically every US-based player on the site was trying to cash out at the same time?

Well, according to many different reports, US-based players that requested direct deposits have been seeing their outstanding balances hit their bank accounts today. Those who requested their balances via wire transfer or paper check should receive their money shortly, if the speed that the eCheck transactions were processed is any indication.

Now that Pokerstars seems to be successfully processing cashouts for their US-based customers, let's hope that Full Tilt Poker (and Cereus for that matter) soon follows suit.
