Elio Fox successfully navigated his way through a field of 593 players to become the newest WSOPE (World Series of Poker Europe) champion earlier today. For his victory, Fox walked away with 1.4 million EUR and the World Series of Poker Europe bracelet.

The final hand of the event saw Fox and Moorman get all-in pre-flop, with Fox holding Ad-10s and Moorman holding Ah-7s. On Day 4, Moorman won a massive pot against Patrik Antonius in a similar situation, with Moorman holding A-7 offsuit and Antonius holding A-Q. However, Moorman wouldn't be so lucky this time, as the board ran out 4s-3h-6s-6d-8h, giving Fox the hand and the bracelet.

Here is how the final table ended up finishing out:

1. Elio Fox - 1.4 million EUR
2. Chris Moorman - 800k EUR
3. Moritz Kranich - 550k EUR
4. Brian Roberts - 400k EUR
5. Dermot Blain - 275k EUR
6. Shawn Buchanan - 200k EUR
7. Jake Cody - 150k EUR
8. Max Silver - 115k EUR

With his victory, Elio Fox joins Annette Obrestad, John Juanda, Barry Shulman and James Bord as WSOPE main event champions.

Chris Moorman actually had a chance to take over the top spot in the WSOP POY race with a victory in the main event.

However, thanks to Moorman's second place finish, Ben Lamb has now clinched the WSOP POY title, regardless of how he finishes at the World Series of Poker main event final table in November.

Overall, this year's World Series of Poker Europe was a massive success. Players turned out in droves, and most seemed very happy with the way that the tournaments were run and the location.
