2012 SCOOP To Feature 38 Events, 114 Tournaments

Spring Championship of Online Poker - LogoEarlier today, Pokerstars released the preliminary schedule for the 2012 SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker). The schedule may still be tinkered with a bit, as Pokerstars has asked for player feedback before setting things in stone.

Similar to last year’s SCOOP, each event will feature three tournaments with a Low, Medium and High buy-in. For instance, Event #1 will be a No Limit Hold’em 6-Max event, with Low ($27), Medium ($215) and High ($2,100) buy-in tournaments.

The 2012 SCOOP is set to get underway on Sunday, May 6th and will run until Sunday, May 20th. The main event (Event #38) will get underway at 14:30 ET on Sunday, May 20th, and will feature tournaments with buy-ins of $82, $700 and $7,500.

As mentioned, Pokerstars is soliciting feedback from its players before finalizing the schedule. Pokerstars will also be revealing the guarantees when the series is posted to the Pokerstars client.

The 2011 SCOOP had a total guaranteed prize pool of $25,000,000. In the end, $43,165,800 in total prize money was handed out.
