Tom Schneider Takes Down Event #29 ($5,000 HORSE)

The King displaying two WSOP braceletsTom Schneider became the first multiple bracelet winner of the year earlier today after he took down Event #29 ($5,000 HORSE) for $318,955.

Schneider put on a clinic at the final table, building up a massive chip stack while dispatching the likes of Benjamin Scholl (2nd, $197,228) and Greg Mueller (3rd, $129,600).

As mentioned, this was the second bracelet that Schneider has won so far this year - he also took down Event #15 ($1,500 HORSE) earlier in the summer for $258,960.

This is the second year that Schneider has been able to take down two bracelets over the course of one summer. He also did it in 2007, winning the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better for $214,347 and the $1,000 Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo 8 or Better for $147,713.

With his victory earlier today, Tom Schneider now has over $2.3 million in total lifetime tournament cashes.

Tom Schneider now sits in second place in the 2013 World Series of Poker Player of the Year race and is roughly 20 points behind the current leader, Daniel Negreanu.
