Matt Glantz Leads Heading Into Day 2 on Tuesday
Published on August 27th, 2013 9:47 am ESTThe inaugural WPT Alpha 8 event at the Seminole Hard Rock ended up drawing a total of 18 players, including the likes of Isaac Haxton, Jason Mercier and JC Tran.
Three players (Daniel Perper, Daniel Alaei and Isaac Haxton) were all eliminated from the event early on Day 1, and all three players elected to re-buy for $100,000. This resulted in a grand total of 21 entries, which ended up creating a total prize pool of $2,026,500.
Four players will end up cashing in this event, with the eventual winner walking away with $891,660. Here is a list of the payouts:

The WPT Alpha8 is "an exclusive series of high-stakes, televised poker tournaments held at the most prestigious gaming resorts around the world, including stops in North America, Europe, Asia, and South Africa." Buy-ins for the events start at a minimum of $100,000.
The Seminole Hard Rock WPT Alpha 8 event will be broadcast on Sunday, March 16th, 2014 at 10 pm EST.
