Many people in the online poker world are curious as to how the newly opened markets in Nevada, New Jersey and Delaware will impact the bottom lines of companies like Boyd Gaming. Boyd Gaming is a 50% owner of Marina District Development, LLC, which is the company that owns the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa.

According to Boyd Gaming's earnings report, the Borgata brought in $2.2 million in revenues from its online gaming operations in Q4.
The Borgata teamed with Bwin.Party to provide online poker to the state of New Jersey. Party Borgata officially opened for business in New Jersey in late November and has been able to establish itself as the market share leader in the state. According to Pokerscout.com, the Party Borgata network (which includes BorgataPoker.com and nj.PartyPoker.com) had 524 real money ring game players at its peak on March 4th, which was significantly more than the 381 players that played on WSOP.com at its daily peak.
The Party Borgata alliance has been helped by a couple of different factors, including the name recognition of Party Poker for many casual players and the network's large Sunday tournament.

Boyd Gaming's Q1 earnings report, set to be released in early June, will contain the results from the Borgata's first full quarter of online operations.
