SCOOP 2014 Gets Underway on Sunday Afternoon

The 2014 SCOOP (Spring Championship of Online Poker) officially gets underway on Pokerstars on Sunday afternoon.

SCOOP 2014 will run from May 4th to May 18th and include a total of 45 events. Each event will be comprised of a low, medium and high buy-in tournament, which means that there will be a total of 135 tournaments at this year's SCOOP. Pokerstars is guaranteeing a total prize pool of $40,000,000, but you can safely expect that the final prize pool will end up being much higher.

For instance, here is the setup for Event #1 which gets underway on Sunday at 11:00 ET:

Low Buy-in: $27 NL Hold'em [6-Max], $300k Guaranteed
Medium Buy-in: $215 NL Hold'em [6-Max, Sunday Warm-Up SE], $600k Guaranteed
High Buy-in: $2,100 NL Hold'em [6-Max], $1 Million Guaranteed

A total of three events with buy-ins for those with smaller, medium and large bankrolls.

The SCOOP 2014 main events will take place on Sunday, May 18th. The low buy-in ($109) tournament will have a guaranteed prize pool of $1 million, the medium buy-in tournament ($1,050) will have a guaranteed prize pool of $2 million and the high buy-in tournament ($10,300) will have a guaranteed prize pool of $3 million.
