New Jersey Market To Get Powerful New Entry With "playMGM" Brand

PlayMGM software loaded up on the cellphone.  Brand and style proposal.MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings PLC announced earlier today that they are teaming up to launch the "playMGM" brand in the state of New Jersey.

This will mark the first time that MGM Resorts will be launching an online gaming product using the MGM brand. The Borgata, which is owned by MGM Resorts, currently operates in the state of New Jersey (using GVC's software and support), though this will be the first time that a gaming product will bear the MGM name.

The "playMGM" brand will offer both online casino and poker action and is expected to launch later this year. According to the press release that was circulated earlier today, MGM's M life Rewards program will be integrated into the "playMGM" platform.

GVC Holdings PLC acquired bwin.party digital entertainment plc last year and has the following brands under its umbrella: partypoker, partycasino, bwin, Sportingbet, Gamebookers, Foxy Bingo, Gioco Digitale and CasinoClub.

MGM Resorts International, which currently has a market capitalization of nearly $18 billion, has the Bellagio, MGM Grand and Mandalay Bay in its portfolio of destination resorts.
