Tournament Will Need At Least 400 Entries To Meet Guarantee

partypoker Live keeps challenging themselves with higher and higher guarantees for their global tournament series, though it will be interesting to see if they can meet the guarantee on their most recent tournament announcement.

Earlier this week, partypoker LIVE revealed that they will be hosting a Super High Roller tournament at the upcoming 2018 Caribbean Poker Party in Baha Mar, Bahamas. This series will be taking place in November of 2018.

The Super High Roller tournament, aka the "MILLIONS World", will feature a buy-in of $25,500, though the real eye-opener here is the $10 million guaranteed prize pool.

That means that, in order to meet the guarantee, the tournament will need to reach at least 400 entries, which is a massive field for a High Roller tournament.

partypoker LIVE President John Duthie said that he believes that this tournament will soon become one of the most prestigious titles in the world, in the same league as an EPT, WPT or even WSOP main event title.

According to partypoker, the tournament will run from November 9-12. There will be two Day 1s, a Day 2 and then a final day.

partypoker has said that they are hoping to send over 100 online players to the tournament. Satellites are apparently going to be starting soon, with $32,500 packages at stake ($25,500 entrance to the Millions World, as well as 10 nights hotel and travel expenses).

The inclusion of so many online qualifiers will likely entice many professional poker players to the event, in addition to the very high guarantee. Given the location of the event, don't be surprised if many of the top poker players in the world turn out for the tournament. Patrik Antonius, Erik Seidel and Fedor Holz are just a few of the names that I would expect to see play in this tournament.
