Spring poker tournament schedule announced - Falling Chips - Illustration.Earlier today, Pokerstars unveiled the dates for the 2019 Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP).

The company is working on the schedule for the event, and I would expect that to be released over the next couple of weeks.

This year's SCOOP will get underway on Sunday, May 12th and conclude on Monday, May 27th.

The main event will take place on Sunday, May 26th.

Low/Medium Phase 1 satellites will begin on Sunday, April 15th, while High Phase 1 satellites will get underway on Sunday, April 21st.

Last year's SCOOP series featured over $65 million in total guaranteed prize money and at least one event with a guaranteed of a minimum of $1 million every day.

partypoker decided not to host their Powerfest series (with $30,000,000 guaranteed) during SCOOP this time around, so Pokerstars will have the couple of weeks to themselves.

Will Pokerstars be even more aggressive with their guarantees this year, or will they pare things back a bit in the face of slightly softening demand for their poker product?

Any players planning on taking part in SCOOP and then travelling to Las Vegas for the World Series of Poker will need to travel quickly, as the first open event at the WSOP gets underway just two days after the conclusion of SCOOP (Wednesday, May 29th).
