Haralabos Voulgaris, Timothy Adams Latest Players To Be Added to Field

The Triton Million in London, England is now up to a total of 54 confirmed entrants, which means that the current prize pool sits at a staggering £54 million.

£54 million translates to $65.6 million US Dollars. To put this into perspective, this year's World Series of Poker main event, which was the second largest poker tournament in history, had a total prize pool of $80,548,600.

In short, the Triton Million is a staggeringly big tournament, and I'm sure that the 54 player turnout (and counting) exceeded even the most optimistic of expectations.

Since the last time that we updated you, seven new players have been added to the Triton Million field.

To start, Rick Salomon finally revealed who he was inviting to the event, and that was Vivek Rajkumar.

Three new businessman/recreational players were added to the event. They are:

Winfred Yu
Ben Wu
Haralabos Voulgaris

These three players, per the rules of the tournament, are all allowed to invite one professional poker player to partake in the event. Those invited players are:

Danny Tang
Michael Soyza
Timothy Adams

Haralabos Voulgaris is likely the biggest new addition to the field. Voulgaris, one of the most highly regarded sports bettors in the world, is rarely seen at poker tournaments as he spends a great deal of his time working at his new position with the Dallas Mavericks.

The Triton Million will run from August 1st to August 3rd, which means that it officially gets underway in just a few hours.
