New tournaments have been added to the summers big event. The World Series of Poker announced earlier today that an additional 17 tournaments have been officially added to the 2020 WSOP, including 6 events that will comprise their new "Freezeout Series".

These "freezeout" events will feature buy-ins of between $500 and $5,000 and will allow only one entry. This will be music to the ears of the likes of Daniel Negreanu, who has been publicly decrying the increase in popularity of unlimited rebuy events.

Another interesting event that will be added to the WSOP is the $1,500 buy-in "Mystery Bounty No Limit Hold'em" event.

This event will feature 100 "mystery bounties" that will range from $2,500 to $250,000, with the remaining "standard" bounties being worth $100 each. These bounties are randomly selected - so, if you eliminate somebody on Day 1 of the event, you may walk away with a bounty of $250,000.

In addition, a $250,000 Super High Roller event has been added to the mix. This is a 3-day event that starts on June 27th.

Lastly, the buy-in for the No Limit Hold'em heads-up event is increasing from $10,000 to $25,000, and the field will be capped at 64 players.
