A familiar face from the past has popped up again in the big 2020 summer tournament. If you were around for the start of the "Poker Boom" in 2003, you probably know who Sam Grizzle is.

Grizzle, who has over a million dollars in lifetime tournament cashes, is probably best known for his battles against Phil Hellmuth.

These battles, which occurred roughly 20 years ago, can be found on Youtube. The two men did not like each other, and apparently they got into a fistfight.

While others have disappeared, never to be heard from again, Grizzle has remained active in the poker scene and can often be found at the World Series of Poker.

Grizzle hasn't had much in the way of deep runs in high profile events over the past couple of decades, but that all changed on Friday night when he found himself at the final table of WSOP Online Event #10.

Grizzle, who was nearly 20 years removed from his last World Series of Poker final table, bowed out in 3rd place, taking home $77,725 for his troubles.

Grizzle was playing under the "texasmolly" alias on WSOP.com.

The tournament was eventually won by Ryan "Im.Sorry" Torgerson, who took home $172,361 for his efforts, as well as the WSOP bracelet.
