Public Has Until Friday, December 11th To Nominate Candidates

There is only one inductee to the Hall of Fame in 2020.Nominations for the 2020 class of the Poker Hall of Fame have now opened to the general public.

From now until Friday, December 11th, people from all over the globe can head to the WSOP.com nomination page to nominate the people that they feel qualify for the Poker Hall of Fame, based on this criteria:

1. A player must have played against top competition
2. Must be a minimum of 40 years of age
3. Must have played for high stakes
4. Must have played consistently well, gaining respect of peers
5. Must have stood the test of time
6. For non-players, must have contributed to the growth and success of the game of poker

All of the 2019 finalists remain eligible for induction. These names include:

Chris Bjorin
David Chiu
Eli Elezra
Antonio Esfandiari
Chris Ferguson
Ted Forrest
Mike Matusow
Huck Seed

On December 16th, Caesars Entertainment will officially announce the final list of candidates. This list will be sent to the 32 living Hall of Fame members, who will cast their votes.

Only one inductee will be going into the Poker Hall of Fame this year.

The 2020 inductee will be announced on Wednesday, December 30th, one day before the "WSOP Main Event finale" in Las Vegas.
