Galfond-Led Site To Focus on US Regulated Market

The company has made a decision to narrow the focus on the US market only.In a post published earlier this week titled "Running It Again", Phil Galfond, founder of Run it Once Poker, announced that the site would be leaving the "Rest of World" market in order to focus on the regulated US market.

In the post, Galfond detailed the challenges that the company has faced since launching their online poker product, as well as the innovations that the company has brought to the online poker landscape.

The main problem that Run It Once Poker has faced is intense competition.

Since Run It Once Poker launched a few years ago, GGPoker has grown in leaps and bounds and is now competing with Pokerstars in terms of market share.

On top of that, other sites, including partypoker, continue to battle for new customers.

Most players want to play where the biggest tournaments are being run, and that has been Pokerstars and GGPoker over the past couple of years.

Despite Run It Once Poker's innovations, most online poker players simply haven't care enough to continue to frequent the site.

-

As a result, Run It Once Poker is wrapping up its Rest of World operations, and will instead be focusing on the regulated US market.

What does this mean for Run It Once Poker's current ROW customers?

Gameplay for these people will stop on January 3rd, 2022, and balances will be able to be withdrawn until April 3rd, 2022.

-

Will Run It Once Poker fare better in the regulated US market, where competition will also be stiff?

We'll see.
