Pokerroom.com, the Swedish online poker company, has taken the first step towards real money wireless poker playing. As of April 11th, you will be able to play poker for real money on your cell phone. On your way to work on the train? Well know you'll be able to get a couple of hands of $3/$6 Hold'em in, or play a quick $10/$1 SNG. Riding in the passenger seat of a car for an entire Sunday afternoon? No problem, you'll be able to log in and play that multi-table tournament that you qualified for.
The good news is that other poker rooms, such as Party Poker and Poker Stars, will surely follow suit as they don't want their clients moving to another poker room. Pokerroom.com offers a fully graphical version for the cell phone, or a slimmed down version for quicker loading times.
This was an inevitable yet important step for the evolution of online poker. Watch for the other major online rooms to quickly follow suit.
