With the 2005 World Series of Poker set to start on ESPN in August, it is time to prepare for the influx of new players that always appear when fresh episodes of the World Series of Poker appear on TV.

It seems like each year, a rash of new players will join the online sites after watching someone become a multi-millionaire on TV. You can definitely notice a big corrolation between the influx of new players and the amount of donkish play. As the year moves on and there is less and less new poker on TV, the play seems to improve, even if just a bit.

However, with the new World Series of Poker about to start on ESPN in August, expect a new batch of donkish play and people calling ace high all the way down to the river.
