King presenting the Sunday Million by PokerstarsJust two short weeks ago, the FTOPS XIX main event was the talk of the online poker world. The tournament, which featured a multi-entry format, ended up receiving over 14,000 entries, which created a total prize pool of nearly $8.7 million. This easily surpassed the tournament's guaranteed prize pool of $3 million.

Not to be outdone, Pokerstars turned up the heat in a big way, offering a total of $5 million in guaranteed prize money for the fifth anniversary of the Sunday Million, which just got underway a few hours ago. Not only would the eventual winner of the event walk away with $1 million, but they would also receive a brand-new Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4.

The result? One of the largest prize pools in the history of online poker.

A total of 59,128 people ended up turning out for today's Sunday Million on Pokerstars, which ended up creating a total prize pool of $11,825,600. I believe that this is the second largest prize pool in the history of online poker, just behind the 2010 WCOOP main event ($12,200,000). The prize pool for today's Sunday Million completely blew the prize pool for the FTOPS XIX main event completely out of the water, and it came without the help of multiple entries.

The winner of today's Sunday Million will walk away with $1,655,629.38, as well as the Lamborghini (which is valued at roughly $200,000). The second place finisher in the event will also walk away a millionaire, as they are set to receive $1,182,560.00.

Good luck to everyone who is currently still alive in the event..
