David Steicke, Erik Seidel Lead Heading Into Final Table

Epic Poker League logoThe final table of Epic Poker League Main Event #2 has now been set, with David Steicke taking the chip lead into the final day of play on Friday.

All eight of the remaining players in the tournament are guaranteed a minimum of $57,530 for making it to the final day. The eventual winner will take home $782,410, while the runner-up will receive $506,260.

A total of 97 players turned out for the second Epic Poker League Main Event, which ended up creating a total prize pool of a little over $2.3 million.

David Steicke is a frequent participator in High Roller events and has over $2 million in total lifetime tournament earnings.

Erik Seidel, who also has over a million chips heading into the final day of play, is currently in the midst of one of the most ridiculous hot streaks in the history of poker.

Seidel, who currently has over $16.6 million in total lifetime tournament earnings, has already won over $6.2 million this year. This includes a second place finish in the first Epic Poker League event and a victory in the $250k AUD Super High Roller event at the 2011 Aussie Millions for nearly $2.5 million USD.
