Blom Goes Wild After Ending Sponsorship Deal with Pokerstars
Published on August 20th, 2012 6:05 pm ESTAccording to HighStakesDB.com (link below), Viktor "Isildur1" Blom went on a seven figure upswing this past weekend, winning hundreds of thousands of dollars from the likes of "Kanu7", "Jeans89" and "Sauce123".
It's impressive enough that Blom was able to increase his net worth by $1 million in just 48 hours. However, beating the likes of "Kanu7" and "Sauce123", two of the best players in the world, for that much money takes Blom's feat to another level.
Thanks to his upswing this past weekend, Viktor "Isildur1" Blom is currently up around $800k for the month of August on Pokerstars. The only player who has made more this month is "Ben86", who has managed to win $809,810.
According to HighStakesDB.com, Blom is down over $700k on Pokerstars in 2012, despite his impressive upswing this past weekend. It's still been a good year for Blom though, thanks in large part to his $1.25 million win in the $100k Super High Roller event at the 2012 PCA.

Blom's $1 million upswing came just a few days after he and Pokerstars decided to part ways.
Blom and Pokerstars "mutually agreed not to renew the Swede's expired sponsorship agreement", with "Isildur1" stating that he just wanted to focus on playing poker.
The move has certainly paid off for Blom so far.
