The King is holding the WSOP chip and providing the latest update from the tournamentIf you've been around the online poker world for a while, chances are that you recognize the aliases "TheWacoKidd" and "Gboro780".

Both Jared "TheWacoKidd" Hamby and Steve "Gboro780" Gross have enjoyed a great deal of success over the course of their careers, both online and in "live" tournaments, but up until yesterday, neither player had been able to win a coveted World Series of Poker bracelet.

Jared Hamby was able to overcome a massive chip deficit during heads-up play to take down Event #40 ($1,500 No Limit Hold'em) for $525,272.

The pivotal hand of heads-up play came when Hamby and the eventual second place finisher, Peter Hengsakul, elected to get it all in after a flop of Qc-10c-9s. Hamby turned over Qd-3h for top pair, while Hengsakul flipped over 10s-9d for two pair.

The turn and river both brought deuces, which ended up giving Hamby the better two pair. This hand gave Hamby a massive double-up and he never looked back.

The tournament would reach its conclusion a few hands later when the two players got all-in pre-flop, with Hamby turning over Ks-10d and Hengsakul flipping over pocket Fives. The turn brought the King of clubs, giving Hamby the victory.
