Pokerstars Continues To Do Big Business as WCOOP, MiniFTOPS Events Begin

It's been a pretty good week for Pokerstars.

The EPT Barcelona, which officially kicked off the 10th season of the European Poker Tour, saw some very strong turnouts, including the biggest main event field in the history of the event.

Following the conclusion of the EPT Barcelona main event, the attention of poker players across the world turned to the WCOOP. This year's WCOOP (World Championship of Online Poker) features a total of 66 events and $40 million in total guaranteed prize money.

On top of all of that, the 23rd edition of the MiniFTOPS also got underway this weekend on Full Tilt Poker. The site, which is now controlled by the owners of Pokerstars, has seen strong turnouts for the first five MiniFTOPS events.

As you can see below, all of the WCOOP and MiniFTOPS events that have been played so far have all easily topped their guarantees:

Event #6 - ($215+R NLHE [Turbo], $750,000 Guarantee) - 2,090 entrants, $1,281,000 prize pool

Event #1 ($20 + $2 NLHE Re-Entries, $200,000 Guarantee) - 13,049 entries, $260,980 prize pool

Event #2 ($30 + $3 NLHE Escalator, $50,000 Guarantee) - 3,238 entries, $97,140 prize pool
