Dietrich Fast Wins Asia Championship of Poker Super High Roller Title

Asian Championship of Poker - Logo - Year is 2017.Another day, another massive Super High Roller event in Macau.

Earlier today, Dietrich Fast defeated Steve O'Dwyer in heads-up play to take down the 2017 ACOP (Asia Championship of Poker) Super High Roller title. The victory was worth HK$16.69 million for Fast, which translates into roughly $2.15 million USD. O'Dwyer, on the other hand, walked away with roughly $1.52 million USD.

The event, which got underway on October 21st, had a buy-in of HK $800,000. A total of 57 players turned out for the event - after 22 re-entries and deductions, the final prize pool sat at over HK $60,000,000.

Dietrich Fast's victory came just a few days after he finished in 5th place in the Triton Super High Roller Series Macau event for $590,016.

These two cashes have pushed Fast's lifetime tournament cashes to over $6.2 million, which moves him significantly higher on the all time money list.

Steve O'Dwyer, on the other hand, moved past the $20 million mark with his second place finish. As of this moment, O'Dwyer sits at 12th place on the all-time money list with a total of $20,268,238 in live tournament earnings. O'Dwyer, who makes his living playing in High Roller and Super High Roller events, is now within striking distance of the likes of Sam Trickett, Brian Rast and even Phil Hellmuth on the all-time money list.
