Super High Roller - Flowing dollar bills - Illustration.Steffen Sontheimer, despite being just 28 years of age, is already regarded as many as being one of the top high buy-in tournament players in the world.

The results speak for themselves, as Sontheimer has collected a long chain and six and seven figure cashes over the past couple of years. If there was a high buy-in poker tournament taking place in the world, there was a chance that Sontheimer would not only be playing but also making an appearance at the final table.

After a drawdown this past summer, Sontheimer set things right earlier this week when he took down the $250,000 Super High Roller Championships at the partypoker Caribbean Poker Party for $3,685,000.

This is the largest cash of Sontheimer's poker career by a large margin - prior to this, his single biggest cash came at a $100,000 Poker Masters event in 2017, which he ended up winning for $1,512,000.

As with any super high buy-in poker tournament, the competition at the final table was extremely strong - Sontheimer needed every ounce of his talent to take down this tournament.

Let's look at how the final table played out:

1st, Steffen Sontheimer, $3,685,000
2nd, Sean Winter, $2,430,000
3rd, David Peters, $1,420,000
4th, Nikita Bodyakovskiy, $700,000

Some of the other big names that turned out to play the event included Justin Bonomo, Jason Koon, Isaac Haxton, Stephen Chidwick and Bryn Kenney - truly a who's who of the ultra high buy-in poker tournament scene.

With his cash in this event, Sontheimer now has $12,582,467 in total lifetime tournament cashes, putting him 47th on the all-time money list.
