Salomon Leads Remaining Field of 27 Players

Aria hotel and casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.  Great architecture.The fifth edition of the Super High Roller Bowl got underway at the ARIA on Monday afternoon in Las Vegas.

A total of 36 players paid $300,000 USD to take part in the event, which resulted in a total prize pool of $10,800,000.

Here are the payouts for the tournament:

A number of the world's best poker players turned out for Super High Roller Bowl V, including the likes of Daniel Negreanu, Justin Bonomo and Phil Hellmuth. There are plenty of High Roller tournament regulars present at the event as well, as Stephen Chidwick, Fedor Holz and Igor Kurganov are all participating as well.

The top of the leaderboard, however, is currently being occupied by Rick Salomon, who managed to finish Day 1 with a stack of 806,000 chips. This puts Salomon ahead of the likes of Ali Imsirovic (661,000), Daniel Negreanu (623,000), Stephen Chidwick (553,000) and Nick Petrangelo (460,000).

Some of the names that didn't make it through to Day 2 included Steffen Sontheimer, Cary Katz and Christoph Vogelsang.
